The new Google Pixel 2 is about to be released in the following week, but we’ve managed to get exclusive information about the specs of the Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL.
The full document of the specs has been revealed by Android Authority sooner today. According to the record, both phones will be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It looks like that there will be two storage options – 64GB or 128 GB of storage, whereas RAM isn’t mentioned anywhere in the report. Both phones will offer stereo speakers and the headphone jack will be omitted, similarly to iPhone.
Pixel 2 will work with the new Android O operating system and they will have e-sim card slots. Similar to their rivals at Samsung and Apple, Google has made their new flagship phones water and dust-resistant with IP67 certification. Moreover, they will feature the new Gorilla Glass 5.
It is unknown whether the Pixels will offer single or dual rear camera, but we know that Google puts a great focus on cameras in their devices. The report reveals that the giant has integrated optical image stabilization and a Google Imaging Chip to improve the quality of the photos.
It is expected that the two phones will be quite nothing alike to their predecessors when it comes to battery size and design. The larger of the two phones will have a greater battery life with a 3,520mAh battery, while the other version will feature a 2,700mAh battery.
The new phones are expected to feature a QHD curved screen with slim bezels similar to Samsung’s flagship phones.
Even though that some details are missing from the report, we can learn a lot about Google’s new phone and things look interesting. The Pixel 2 and 2 XL are expected to be announced on October 4. Stay tuned as we cover the event!
